FOXTON TO GET ITS PETROL FROM LEVIN

WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. Where Foxton was at one time serviced by road tank waggon from Palmerston North bulk storage, delivery would now be made from a depot at Levin at a slightly lower cost, said the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. Sullivan, when he eommented" today on the amendment to the Motor Spirits Prices Regulations, 1942, which have been gazetted. The Minister added that the cffect of the amendment would be to make the price of petrol at Foxton the same as that at otlier centres serviced from Levin. The amendment also eliminated Paekakariki from the Levin price area, and would permit a reduced pric# tc be charged which would he more in keeping with present delivery costs.
