M.C.C. TO PLAY FOUR GAMES IN NEW ZEALAND

CHBISTCHURCH, Jan. 22. The M.C.C. team will tour New Zealand after the conclusion of the fifth test match in Sydney and will play four three-day matches. This was announced today hy Mr. E. E. Luttrell, secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Couneil. The manager of the English team (Major R. Howard) has advised the Couneil that he has approvetl of the programme set out helow which was one of several submitted to him. The party will consist of Major Howard and 13 of the players at present in Australia. The itinerary is as follows: — March 10, 11 and 12: Wellington. March, 15, 17 and 18: Otago. March 21, 22, and 24: New Zealand at Christchurch. March 27, 28 and 29: Auckland. It is presumed that the team will travel to New Zealand hy air as the last Test if restricted to six days will conclttde on March 8 and the first match in New Zealand will hegin four days later.
