FOUR MUSSOLINI HENCHMEN ON TRIAL
MTTRI)ER OF ITALIAN MARTYR Received Thursdav, 11.15 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 22. The trial began in Rome today of four former henchmen of Mussolini for the murder in 1924 of the Italian Socialist Martyr, Giacomo Matteoti. They are Amerigo Dumini, who was once thouglit to have been shot and killed by an Australian Provost sergeant at Derna in 1941, Amleto Poveromo, who is charged with actually committing the murder, Cesare Rossi, who is charged with complicity, and Francesco Giunta, charged with organising the Fascist Secret Poliee. Four others, whose where - abouts are unknown, will be tried
i ji their absence. The British United Press' Rome correspondent says that 200 eager spectators jammed the dingy courtroom to liear the evidence showing what parl Mussolini played in the removal of his sharpest critic.
