POLISH VIEW ON WESTERN FRONTIER
SANCTION TO BE SOUGHT IN GERMAN TREATY Received Thursdav, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 23. . Poland regards tlie wes'tern frontier as that fixed by the Potsdam ' Agreement, and it only remains for ' the German Peace Treaty to sanc- j ti on it formally, said a Polish Embassy spokesman at a Press conference in London today. He j revealed that 1,700,000 Germans had already been evacuatea westward froni the areas ceded to Poland. Only 300.000 remain and they will be evacuated soon. Meanwhile, nearly 4.000,000 Pol.es had been moved in from beyond the Curzon Line. Poland, when slie places her views before the Foreign Ministers ! Deputies on January 27, will | l'ormally apply for the German I Peace Treaty to be signed in War- j saw, where they believe the signing would have a strong political and moraj significance. The spokesman made it clear that Poland still favours a strong central government for Germany, I which would not permit a division of the countrv into states.
