HASTINGS, Jan. 19. Between Wairoa and Dannevirke there are more tlian 200,000 bales oi. Hawke's Bay wool, in the Port Ahuriri stores, emergency stores, and fanners ' sheds, includin£ some stockpile wool. This information was given to the Hawke's Bay provineial executive of Federated Farmers by the president (Mr. B. S. Williams) who said it was all wool which must be shipped. It was istated fcliat there were 45.000 bales in.
store which should liave been sold by uow and the position was such that the timo was rapidly approacliing when it would be necessary again to stop recei ving. Mr. k. H. Payne said there were hundreds of small farmers who liad worked hard in December to get wool off the sheep's baek but, because of the delays, it would be July or even Angust before many of thein received payment.
