LORD TOVEY ON UNOFFICIAL VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND

WELLINGTON, Jan. 20. "My visit is entirely unofficial and is not conneeted with naval business," said A.dmiral of the Fleet Lord Tovey, who arrived in Wellington ' today from Sydney, accompanied by Lady Tovey. They were met at the wharf by represehtatives of Govemment House ahd the Royal New Zealand Navy. "I have some nephews and nieces in your islands, and I am looking forward to visiting them," said Lord Tovey, who added that he expected to stay in New Zealand for three months. Before he was whisked away in a car after landing from the harbour ferry Cobar, to which he was transhipped from the Wanganella. Lord Tovey indicated that he prcferred aot to talk "shop" of the engagements with which he had been coneerned. His only comment was "not an awful lot." He had spaU about eight weeks in Australia 'ai.u before that four months in South Africa, and he had thoroughly enjoyed the change from his duties during the war. '
