A burglar in the Panama Hotel, Wellington, early yesterday morning felled an old man who disturbed him, and made off. Mr. T. Wadsworth came into the hotel at about 3.45 a.nn to begin work. As he passed the office he found a man hiding round the corner. The man then rushed him. Mr. Wadsworth fell, and it is believed the man kicked him before leaving by the front door, for Mr. Wadsworth was badly shaken, and had to have two stitches over one eye. The thief took a bag of copper and silver from the floor of the offlce, ahd, when he fled, ieft it where he was hiding' at Mr. Wadsworth's approach.
