RADAR SAVES AIR CRASHES
USE FOR FIRST TIME PROVES SUCCESSFUL Received Saturday, 11 a.m. NEW YORK, Jan. 17. In the first use of radar ground control last night, army officers averted three possibie crashes, including one overseas airliner from Fj ankfurt. .Dense fog shrouded all the airports along the Atlantlc coast, but Ihe aircraft were successfully guided to the ground, possibly saving forty-six lives.
