CANADIAN AIRMAN ACQUITTED

Received Friday, Noon. OTTAWA, Jan. 16. In the County Court Judge McDougall acquitted Frederick William Poland on a charge of communicating confidental information to Russia. A second charge against Poland under the Official Secrets Act was adjourned. Poland, who was a Canadian Air Force squadron-leader, is the journalist son of an Anglican clergyman.
