. Some voung - New Zealand atlilcte is going to )>c able to step into the shoes of the great Swedish runner Gundrtr Haogg in the near future. He will liavc this opportunity through the generositv and thoughtfuiness of Johnny Fulton, captain of tlie American track team on its tour of the Dominion. Wlien ITaegg,' foriner world mile rceord-holder and present holder of the two-milc. roeord, was last in the States, he gave Fulton a pair of his beautifully made Avhite track shoes. Fulton has brought the shoes on his trip, and, keen to encourage the up-and-eoming bovs, has announeed that he will give the shoes to thc most promis:;ig athlote he enconnters on the tour.
