The truck Which was caiied into actioh by Mr Bruce Gillies, of Oamaru, wat Y>\ Mr. Gillies' firm for £17 10s from che War Asse'ts Realisation Board some time ago. Sihc tllen it has made history. It was the first tru'ck to force a track the rough Matukituki country with a load of materials for a new hut which the New ZeaAlnihe Club is bUilding near Cascade. In this aCcident it was the only type of truck capable Of teaching the camp near the scenb of the tragedy.
