A large yarding of fat stock was entered at the weekly sale in Levin yesterday, when- values Were fully firm on last week's rates. The majority of the large yarding of store sheep penned were white face lambs and good sorts were keenly sought, while small and cull lots were absorbed by local dairy farmers. Fat cattle were in excelient supply and vealers and hetfers in good condition met keen corr.petition from the butchers. Dairy and store cattle came forward in smaller numbers, and soid at late market rates. There was aiio a large entry of pigs and althouah Values eased slightly,. all were soid under the hammer. Porkers up to 120 Ibs made good values, as this is the maximum weight that butchers can sell.
