NAMING A BABY

Since news of Bette Davis' forthcoming real life motherhood, the actress has received various detters from fans suggesting names for the baby. On the theory that it is bound to be a girl, most of the fans propose that she choose a name from her movie characters, such as Judith of "Dark Victory," Henriette of "All This and Heaven Too," and Julie of "Jezebel." One far-sighted writer suggested that if the child be a boy he be called Stanley, which is the male name Bette had in the picture, "In This Our life." Another even more alert fan, who must have had a glimpse of her latest picture for Warners', wrote that she could not possibly name the baby anything but Christine — the name of the woman Bette plays in "Deception," still unreleased to the public.
