HEALTH OFFICER'S REPORT
The Health and Sanitation Inspector (Mr. W. J. Guinan) presented his report to the Shannon Borough Council at its meeting on Tuesday evening. The report, which was for the period from Oetober 1 to December 31, 1946, was as follows: — Of the infectious disease cases investigated, one ease of scarlet fever was reported. Three habitations, which include dwellings, hotels, boarding houses, etc., were visited duriiig the period and one requisition was served. Three food selling premises were visited and no requisitions were served. Five inspections of plumbing and draining were carried out and two requisitions were served. Two samples of water were takcn. ''Inspections were made at the saleyards and railway stock yards, and four new septic tank systems were aporoved. Matters in connection with the stormwater disposal and new soakage pits at the j State houses have been attended to. Inspections have also been made at the domain in connection with the repairs and renovations of the conveniences there." The report was receivei by the council.
