WANGANUI, Jan. S. The Rangitikei Potato-growers' As sociation was unsnccessful in its at tempts to secure increased prices- fn this season 's' potatoes, stated tln secretary (Mr. F. A. Hempleman) to day. He had received from the Minister of hlarketing a letter replving 1the Association 's request atid statin that the Price Tribunal and Fftabilisa tion Commissioner had given constdera tion to a revision of prices in thRangitikei and Manawatu areas. buhad decided that no inc.rease •could 1>. made for crops already planted. "The matter of prices for nex' season 's crops- wjll be reviewed before the planting season starts. -and it is possible there may be some amendnien to the contract and the eeiiing price; for that year if the Stabilisation Com mission finds sufficient evidence to justify.any increase, ' ' stated the letter.
