The Avmgsaw Anti-Fascist Freedom Leagne siated that the campaign was to prepare the nation for . the coming strnggle for freedom. The campaign is primarily aimed to strengthen the " people 's volunteer corps" which everywhere is reported to be drilling and training and whose members are mainly former members of the pro-Japanese Burma Defence Party. Their strength is oflicially estimated at 30,u00 ont is probably at least 60,000.
