These compi'ised 20,(580 bales , of greasy, 335 of hlijie, 75' of scoured and 210 of stock avooIs. The offerings coiisisted of wools ffoin the Wairarapa, Manawata, Rangitikei, Marlborough and Nelson districts. Clips from Wairarapa opened up -fairly bright while those from (Manawata ami Rangitikei were showing; the ell'ect of the climatie conditions experienced during the late winter. There was a good attendanco of buyers and competition was keen, -especiaily from Continental operators with good support from Bradford and local ntills bidding keenly for wools suitable to theif requirements. A fe'ature of the sale Was the keen competition and the prices realised for Well-grown medium to coarse erossbred. WOols. Bellies, pieces and nceks met keen competition but with restricted limits. Lambs tnet with exceptioitally keep competitipn tliroughout.
