Personal Miss Edna Brown is at present in Dunedin on holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Savage are at present on a cycle tour of .the North Island, travelling per tandem. Mrs. Skinner, who has been on holiday in Carterton and Masterton, has returned to her home at Otaki. ' River Works The work being carried out by dragline in the Otaki River had a* slight set-back during the flooding of the river this week, a considerable quantity of the gravel scooped from the river being washed back again. Health Camp Busy There are at present 110 children at the Otaki Health Camp, all doing splendidly. They had a merry Christmas period, while the Otaki Band enlivened proceedings, rendering selections to the enjoyment of both staff and children. Bowlers Entertained Mr. Stan Moffatt, the hon. secretary of the Raumati South Bowling ; Club, entertained a number of bowlers and friends at his residence on Tuesday morning, when a convivial time was spent. The j hope was expressed by visitors that | Mr. Moffatt would soon be restored to good health. Later at the clubhouse bowlers and their wives congregated and indulged in a social evening. Various toasts were enthusiastically honoured, the gathering concluding wtih the singing of , "Auld Lang Syne."
