ELABORATE BALLET

The most elaborate ballet number in screen history is in rehearsal at M-G-M studios for a sequence in "The Unfinished Darice." Composed as a ballet for David Rose's novelty number, "Holiday for Strings," the dance will feature Margaret O'Brien, Cyd Charisse and ensemble of 25 dances. A 100piece orchestra will play the Rose composition. All choreography is under the direction of David Lichine. It is estimated seven days' shooting will be necessary to record the number. Henry Koster is directing and Joe Pasternak producing.
