SHANNON BOWLING CLUB

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES The' Shannon Bowling Club's holiday a'ctivities were confined mostly to club games. Chfistmas Eve and Boxing Day saw 'many members and their visiting friends on the green, and some most enjoyable games were played. Over the holidays three rinks visited "Foxton for the Foxton Club's. holiday tournament. All the local rinks were successful in reaching the final stages of the tournament, but were unfortunate in being defeated in their last matches. However, all had a most enjoyable day as the guests of the Foxton members. The rink which is representing the Shannon Club at the Manawata championships, and comprising Messrs E. T. Wilson, S. Morrison, A. R. Mills and R. Bibby (s), is upholding the honour of the local club by winning three of the four matches which Lt has played so far. Local bowlers will be well catered for over the New Year holidays, and an invitation is extended to visiting bowlers to spend a day on f.hp prppn
