Tiie busiest day on the Racing Calendar for the season will be tomorrow (New Year's Day) when no fewer than eight galloping meetings, including the continuation of the Auckland fixture, and one trotting gathering at Addington will. be held in both. Islands. Aliihost the same position will apply on the following ; ' day^when. jhost of the holiday meetings will be concluded. * As far as Wellington and Hawke's Bay districts are concerned there will be the Hawke's Bay Club's meeting at Hastings, . the Marton fixture at Marton and the Wairarapa Club gathering at Tauherenikau to hold the interest of racegoers. These meetings will be concluded on Thursday.

At time of writing there was still nothing definite respecting which of the three meetings Dileas has accepted for will be his mission. This horse is very fit and is the writer's New Year prospect for whatever meeting he attends. There are a number of form horses | with engagements at two meetings tomorrow.
