LONDON, Dee. 30. , A f'ormer soldier, the 20-year-old Uriali .Tones, was kissing his fianece, the 20-year-old Miss Beatrice Sheen, goodnight in a room in lier bungalow hoine near Wimborne, Dorset, when a bullet which is believcd to have comc tli rough the window struck him in the' iiead and killed him. His fiancee, whont .Tones was to have married on January 1, was also wounded in the hoad but not seriously. A man was later detained.
