HOLIDAY BOWLING
OTAKI'S TOURNAMENT There was a full green at Otaki' on Thursday when Barnett pairs were played to the enjoyment of all taking part. The green was ffi good order and play .above the average. Following are the results of the games: — Leads — W. Jepson, Greenfield (Rotorua), R. Merwood, Maynard (Karori), Whitehorn anci f. Birncox, three wins each; Avery, Board (Petone Central), Bartosn, Matthews (Petone Central), Buxcon and Cole, two each; R. Young and Jensen one each; Lambess and Keay nil. In the piay-olt Greenueia beat Jepson and Merwood oeat Maynard, while in the final oetween Greenfield and Merwood the latter won. Simcox and Whitehorn did not participate in the play-ofis. SKips — Merwood and Wilson four each; McGiliigan, Walsh, Pike and H. Jepson, three each; Robertson,. Horn and Winterburn two each; Kearns, S. Simcox, Southgate, Temuera and Baker one each; Hurrell and Eaton nil. In the play-off Detween Wilson and Merwood the former won.c Bowling was freely indulged in during the holidays and on the Otaki Club's green many enjoyable games were played. On Saturday, January 11, members of the Otaki Club will pay a visit to Karori. Names are invited from those who desire to be included in the trip.
