ANGLO-SOVIET MILITARY RELATIONS?
Received -Mondav, 12.30 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 29. Stalin is expecled to propose to Yisi-ount Montgomery when he visits Moscow, the sctting up of a joint. Anglo-Sovict ('hiefs-of-StaU' Committee in Moscow and the holding of regular militarv staff talks, says Tlie Peojile's diplomatic correspondent. This is to be the general framework of the 20vetir pact of friendship between the two countries signed in London during the war. It is believed Stalin wants ihe Anglo-Soviet Committee in Moscow to be on similar lines to the AifgloAmerican one in Washington. This would mean seiuling to Moscow three high-ranking Army, Navy and Air Force otlicers to be resident.
