Peisonal. i Mr. Delwyn S^nds is holidaying in Tauranga. Miss A. McEwen is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. McEwen, of Vance Street. Miss E. Hawke, of Mt. Albert, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. J. A. Easton, Buckley, for the holidays. Mr. F. Beatie, of Featherston, is spending a short holiday as the guest of Mr. D. Cole, Vogel Street. Messrs C. Booker and J. Bell left on Friday for a motor tour of the north. Mr. and Mrs. R. Vinsen left on Xmas day on a motor trip to Stratford and New ^lymouth. Mr. Harry Fell, who spent his young days in Shannon, visited the town over the holidays. Mr. Feli was accompanied by Mrs. Fell. • Miss Billie Peach, of Ballance Street, is spending a 'holiday as the guest of Mrs. G. W. Whiteman, Whatatutu, Bay of Plenty. Mr. and Mrs. H. Knowles and their daughter, Alison, of Wellington, are staying with Mr. Knowles* parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Knowles, Vance Street. Mr. and Mrs. A. Boyd and their two daughters, of Auckland, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. Wilkinson, Newtown. Many old residents will recall that Mr. Boyd was in business as a cabinetmaker in this town some nineteen vears acrn.
