PROGRESS OF YACHTS IN OCEAN RACE

Liberator sighted only four of tlie 19 yachts in tlie Sydnev-Iloliart race during a Uight of nearly four Hours today. Just wlien tlie aireraft was about to abandon the patrol some yachts were sighte-i through a break iu ihe fog. Diving to within 100 feet of tlie sea the plane identiJied tlie Saga, llex, .Sirius and Fegnihr. The Sydney sloo]i Saga was well ahead of tlie Xew Zealand ketcli llex off Jervis Bay. A few niiies behin-l the llex were the staysail sehooner Sirius and tlie sinai 1 gaff yawl Feginlir Thougli tlie leaders were not siglited. it is estiniated that Ihe four yachts seen were iu the niiddle of the lleet which indicates that the llex has ini proved her position considerably. She was previously rejioi'ted lying second to last. The Morna, still leading Jh" field, is believed to be 50 niiies south of Jervis Bay. This afternoon the. Sirius, Conella, Tradewind aml Ixurrewa were heard in radio eontact.
