CHILD DROWNED

WANGANUI, Dec. 22. A child, aged six years, K. L. Grant, got into diffieulties while paddling at Castlecliff this afternoon and was drowned. Artificial respiration was carried out by members of the Castlecliff surf section of the Royal Life Saving Society but were unsuceessful. The child 's parents are Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Grant, of 91 London Street, Wanganui.
