BETTE DAVIS RETIRES
Bette Davis has gone into retirement on her New Hampshire farir i to await the arrival of her bahy who is expected in March. Her husband, artist William Gran* jSherry, accompanied her. This wil1 ibe her first child, for Bette ' although she has been married : twiee bef ore to band leader Harmor Nelson and to' business man Arthur Farnsworth (who died in 1943). Bette and- William Sherry were married at Laguna on November 30 1945, after knowing each other foi just six weeks. His age is 32 to Bette's 38.
