REFUSED KILLING SPACE

INVERCARGILL, Dec. 3 9. Boullilaud and South Otago Freezing Companies have refused to accept tlre nomination of the Primary Producers' Co-operative Society, Ltd., as agents for Southland producers. This means the comjianies will not grant killing space to the society. In view of this decision the Southland provincial exeeutive of Eederated Farmers deeided to approach the Government. A telegram was sent today. to the Alinister of Finance asking if he would be prepared to give a decision in favour of the Southland producers. The telegram also asked tliat, if he was unprepared to make that decision, I whether he would be willing to meet a ! deputation of Southland farmers reprej senting all producers in the province. I before Christmas. Southland producers have the supj port of the Auckland Farmers' Union j in their efforts to obtain killing space | for tlre society and it is also understood other jjroviuces are interested j and that they will make tlieir views | known to the Government iind Meat [ Board.
