Drakeford, today in oyiening the lirst meeting of tlie Houth Paeifu: Air Transport Council whicli was attended by delegates froni Fnited Ivingdom, Xew Zealand and Fiji with an observer fropi Canada. Mr. Drakeford said that no otliei means of comnuinication presented sucli boundless possibilities. The council had 1o raview tlie progress of air services in the Houth Pacifie afld arrange finan cinl agreements for operating tliem. Two sub-eonimittees whieh had lieeu operating were tlie Conimitlee of Air Navigation and (tround Organisatiou known as Cango, and a conimittee of meteorologists known as Coniqt. Mr. Drakeford was appointed pernianent cliairman of tlie council.
