WILLING TO CONCILIATE.
WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. Following a conference today with the executive of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Employers' Industrial Association and the president and viee-presi-dent of the association, Mr. W. Marshall and Mr. W, E. Scott, the secretary of the association (Mr G. G. Camp) sent the following urgent - telegram to the secretary of the Dairy Workers' Union (Mr. L. Robertson) in Auckland: — "Have referred your telephone communication of Saturday to x)resi(Ient and vice-president New Zealand Dairy Factory Employers' Association, who are in Wellington. The employers' assessors are willing, as they always have been, to ineet employee assessors in conciliation council at the earliest date suitable to the Commissioner, yourself, and myself, and to settle your union 's lawful elaims in tlie manner prescribed by the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitratiou Act. What has now been dojae wili make this most diffieult, but having in mind the. possibility of misunderstanding arisiiig from telephone communication and .the grave p.ossibilities of .tlie situation which lias been crdhted, . suggest that your telephone communication, be submitted iu writing. ;To sa,ve f|inO : tliis could be done by « urgen t ktfclegJam . today.
