AUDACIOUS THEFT

Received. Monday, 9.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 16. In daylight today three men walked into a hoitse in the suhurh of Mascot and stole an iron safe containing at least £3000. The money iS the life savings of. a Ghinese pork hutcher who distrusts hanks. Late this moriiing three men drove itp in a truck to the door of a house in which five Chinese live, walked" through the open hack door and forced the bedroom door to get at the safe. They then carried the safe into the crowded street, loaded it on to a truck and drove away. The police are searching .for the truck which is believed to have been stolen. * f- •
