The summer meeting of the Otaki Maort Racing Club, to be held on the club's course at Otaki tomorrow, has attracted reasonably good all-round fields, and the class of racing should, given fine weather, be of a high standard. The principal event, the Raukawa Handicap, has drawn an attractive field with form well. disclosed. Although his showing at Woodville Was below \ his best, Fortune's Smile is a firm favourite and might recompense his followers for last week's failure. Other good form horses engaged are Imperial, Gay Stroller, Riverview, who is now coming solid, Merry Robin and Nanaaki. Near the bottom of the weights Cramond Bay is not without good prospects and his latest track essays have been encouraging to his connections. The class sprinter in the Huia Handcap ii£ Peter Robinson, who, q/k his best would have little trouble in beating this field. Baeked £nd beaten in his last start the speedy Beau Le Hayre will be a . greatly improved horse for tomoryow. Blue Bonny is not wfthout bright prospects, the same also applying to Saludos/ Stony Broke, Gay Lena and Lady Nahleen.
The Te Awamutu Cup, which is something in the nature of a "pipeopener" for candidates for the Auckland. Cup, will be decided by the Waipa Club at Te Awamutu tomorrow. Win and place betting will operate at both meetings. Prospects are:
