MRS. J. S. WILSON
There passed away in Levin I recently a well-known and respect- j ed resid"Snt in the late Mrs. j. S. 1 Wilson, of Cambridge Street. Her I sudden death came as a severe I shock to all who knew her. With j her cheerfulness and ever-ready I help, she gave assistance to a numr I ber of local organisations, and thefc gap which her passing has left \s j felt with regrSt. The late Mrs. Wilson spent her | childhood at Halfway Bush, Roslyn, Dunedin. After her marriage to Mr. J. S. "Wilson, of Cromwell, shew spent several years in Westport before conffng to the North Island, eventually settling in Levin with her husband some 29 years ago. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her ! husband, seven sons, Christopher, Leslie, Sianley, Mervyn, Ernest, Ian and Clifford. and three daughters, Mesdames Weaver and Johnstone and Miss Enid Wilson. The funeral took place from the Gospel Hall, where a servi.ce was conducted by Mr. C. W. Read, while at the graveside Mr. R. D. Rolston officiated. The pall-bearers were cix sons of the late Mrs. Wilson, Christopher, Leslie, Stanley, . Ernest, Ian aiid Clifford. A large number of floral emblems bore evidence of the esteem in which the late Mrs. Wilson was held, among them being trlbutes from the Gospel Hall, St. John's Methodist Guild, Levin Women's Institute, Levin League of Mothers, Levin Ladies' Bowling Club, Levin Red Cross, Sewing Circle of Levin Red Cross, Horowhenua Tennis Club, Levin Foosball Club, South African Veterans' Association, staff Otaki Railway, staff Waipawa Post Office, staff j Levin Fibrous.
