The successful use of folic acid (vitamin A1 ) as an eJl'ective and more convenient method of the treatment of pernicions anaentia and sprue is annourtced bv the Arkansas L'niversity Medical School. Of the 13 persons tested 12 responded with a niarked improvenient. Folic acid is also a very ell'ecti\e treatment for certain types of diarrhoea. Professor Trotter said that folic acid is derived from liver and green leafy vegetables. _
