19-YEAR-OLD MURDER Received Sunday," 7 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 8. Tke murder of a moneylender, Daniel Condon, in his Pitt Street olfice 19 years ago, has been cleared Up by the confession of a convict who died in gaol, according to a disclosure made by the Police Commissione'r, Mr. Afackay. Condon did. an extensive business with civil servants and during the lunch hotu* on August 11, 1927, a client called • to repay a loan. A- few minutes after 1 he -walked out apother client walked in and fotmd Condon dead, having been savagely battered about the head. The police were hanclicapped by a million to one chance — the client who passed the murderer was blind in one eye and the murderer brushed past°on the blind side so that he secured only a confused picture of hint.
