About twenty sehool children had a narrow escape from serious in.jury when a freak storm struck a school building at Medowie. 12 milos from Xewcastle. today. The children sulfered only minoi injuries from flying tiniber as the school lmil-ding collapsed. It was most fortun at that the ma.jority of the children hai1 left the school when it was struck by the storm. Tliose remaiuing behind were pra-ctising for a school corcert.
