No Steel For Number Plates
The Minister of Transport, Mr. O'Brien, announced today that owing to the "world shor'tage of steel it wotild be imposs'ible to issue steel number licensing plates for he 1947-48 year and a numbei windscreen label similar to th§ wartime one would be tised instead.
