ELOCUTION EXAMINATIONS

MANY LOCAL SUCCESSES The local pupils of Miss Lois Lind were all very successful at the. elocutionary examinations held in Wellington recently. In the L.T.C.L. examinations, Miss Lind passed with 88 marks, this being the highest number of marks received at the examinations. Miss Lind was ta have taken part in an elocution demonstration at Wellington, but owing to her recent accident she was unable to make the trip. Other local successes at the examinations were : — Intermediate : Miss Ngaire Peach passed with 71 marks; junior: Trevor Mrers passed with 69 marks. Advanced preparatory: Patricia Lee passed with merit with 82 marks. Preparatory: Colin Wilsoii passed with merit with 76 marks. First steps: Shirley McLean passed with 79 marks.
