DEATH OF LADY FOXBRIDGE
The four-year-old mare Lady Foxbridge, winner of the lying Gcorge Haudicap at Avondale on Saturday, died at an early hour on Mondav morning. After racing at Avondale, Jmdy Foxbridge returned to Matamata, wliere ttslie was trained by A. McArthur. It was decided to give her a light drench, but unfortunately some of this entered her lungs and brought about her death. Lady Foxbridge was by Foxbridge from Flying Falcon, by Bronze EagJe from Eva 1'ose, by Lapidary from Blodwvn, by Bisogue from Vivacity, by St. Cyr from Vivat, by Captivator from Vivaudiere, by Alusket. She had started 16 times for live iirsts, two secouds and tliree thirds, and £4290 in stalces. Her most important success was in the Great Northern Derby last season.
