Two members of the Australian Davis f'up squad, Dinnv Pails and Adrian Quist, were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Viclorian singl.es champion ship to-day. Ted Sch roeder (America) beat Pails 0 — 6, '6 — 2, -6 — 4, 2 — 6, 6 — 4. and Gardnar Mulloy (America) beat Quist .2—6, 7—5, 6— 1, 2—6, 6—2. In the otlier quarter-finals W. Sidwell beat1 J. Crawford 6—1, 6—4, 6 — 3', and J. Bromwicli beat C. Long 6 — 3, 6 — 1, 6—0.
