Junior. — Care and attention : Gwen Davison's Tui 1, John Hagley's Tiny 2. Best mannered calf: John Hagley's Tiny 1. Lamb rearing. — Brian' Sutcliffe's Snowy % 1, • Wilfred Vicker's Bobtail 2, Marie Vicker's Tinker 3. The judge was Mr. B. R, Robin,son and Mr. Atkins was the associate judge. Levin : Despite the threaiening weather, there was a good attendance oi parents for the judging at the Levin School. The headmaster, Mr. H. F. McClune welcomed the visitors and said that it was with regret that ail had learned of the sudden death of Mr. J. J. Stevenson, an officer of the Wellington Education Board and an exceedingly popular instructor with farmers, parents and children. The Horo whenua Boys'. and Girls' Agricultural Ciub owed much of its progress over recent years to his well directed enthusiasm and ehergetic manner in dealing with the club's activi-' ties. The ciub extended its deepest sympathy to Mrs. Stevenson and her two sons. Mr. A. C. Kennerley, ehairman •of the school committee, congratulated the competitors and said that it gave hina great pleasure to accept, on behalf of the school, a tcup presented by Dorothy and Shirley Cheesman for competition in the care and attention class, both senior and junior.

Mr. B. R. Robinson, the judge, was thanked for his good work and in'reply congratulated not only the winners, but ail those who took part in the project and so made the competition a great success. The results were: — Senior. — Care and attention: Harry Stratford's Darkie 1, Douglas Lang's Humble 2, Barry Geange's Primrose 3. Best dairy type: Barry Geange's Primrose 1. Junior. — Care and attention : Jim Ciarke's Bud 1, Leone Clark's Betty 2, Alister Shaw's Pet 3. Lamb rearing.— Alfson Mexted's Snowie 1, Basil Netten's Noel 2, Malcolm Aitchison's Bing Crosby 3. Te Horo A large gathering attended the Te Horo School for the judging. Among those present were Mr. H. Wynn-Hesse, Wellington Education Board, Mr. J. G. Horn, president of the Horo whenua Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Ciub, and Mrs. Horn, who tied 011 the winning" ribbons. Muhunoa • An excellent calf ciub day was iield at che Muhunoa School where only 11 children are on the roll, and 11 calves were paraded for the judging. The details were well arranged and there was a good attendance of parents, friends and local farmers.
