WELLINGTON RACES

The programme for the Wellington Racing Club's meeting to be held on January 11, 18, 22 and 25 is to hafld. As usual it is a most attractive one and should be a great inducement to horse owners to attend. On the first day there will be two £1500 races, on the second day the Wellington Cup will be worth £5000 and a gold cup, and the Desert Gold Stakes of £1500, the Telegraph "of £2000, and the Anniversary Handicap of £1000. The third day will see the Gloaming Stakes of £2000 and the Metropolitan Stakes of £1500, while on the final day the Trentham Stakes will be worth £2000, the Summer Handicap £2750 and the City Handicap £1500. Besides these stakes there will be many other very attractive races, and the meeting should be the most successful yet held in the annals of the club. Nominations for all events close 011 Monday, December 16.
