Mrs. Morton is at present in 'Napier on iioliday. Mat-ron Sniitli, of the Otaki Samtonum, is at present on a visit to Wanganui. Mr. J. F. Wilcox, at oue time postmaster at Otaki aud now of Kaitaia, is among the visitors to Otaki. Mr. A. Anderson is at present ac.ting postmaster at Otaki, pending the arrival of the newlyappointed postmaster who is to fill Mr. Berry's place. Fiight-Lieutenant Smith, who returned from overseas a t'ew days ago, has been spending a few days at his home at Te Horo, but leaves again for England tomorrow. Car Damaged Whiie a car owned by Mr. Fred Edwards was parked on the roadside at the scene of last night's fire, another car, stated to be travelling at a fast rate, struck it, damaging the side of the stationary vehicle. It is stated that the driver of the vehicle failed to stop, but that the number of the car is known.
