Later j lost th.P services of Ian Hudson, wno is now residing in Auckland. These I two. old pupiis proved to be enerigetic and' ca'pable members of the : exe.cutive. Messrs. A. Bpll and R. Sfevens were elected to'thc vacanlcies and haye been extrpmely useiful. Yet another member of the exejcutive has left for Auckland — Miss ; J. Woodmass, who was married • repently, was a tireless worker and |she will be missed greatly. "Early in April Mr. J. Penny and ; myself met "the College Advisory iBoard to solicit their interest arid co-operation in the erection of a imemorial in honour of the old boys , who f eli and served in the last war. This bo'dy was extremely sympathietic and has elected representatives to meet delegates from our (association and other interestpd | bodies. "A gpnergl meeting was held in June 22 for the purpose of electing isub-committees to help with the i arrangements for the reunion and j welcome home on September 6. The i sub-cojrnmittees worked hard, and i much of the success of tlie reunion : is due " to them. Although this j reunion was not a success finan- ; ci'ally, socially it was the most successful to date. "I understand that old pupiis' : blazers are how on sale and they can be purchased as soon as a suitable badge can be decided upon for the pocket. It is necessary for 1 members to obtain a chit from the |secretary declaring the person a ' financial member of the associatipn before the blazer is bought. "In conclusion, I desire to thank the members of. my committee most 'sincerely for the capable manner in which they have worked during , the last 12 months. My rep.ort I would not be completp without a •word of praise for Misses G. France .and M. Karauti. They are an excelipnt combination apd nothing is too much trouble for them. Bell, R. Denton, R. Irving and T. Winiata; teacher's representatives : Miss Chapman-Cohen and Mr. A. .Haley; auditor: Mr- F. H. Hudson; delegates for old boys' memorial: IMassrs. M. Staples and J. Pemiy ^and Miss G, France. A letter was received from the Old Boys' Cricket Club, asking for a donation of £10 and also requesting that Mr. C. E. Wiseley be appointed as a playing coach to the team. Both requests were duly granted. In regard to the suitability of a badge for the pocket of the official old pupiis' blazer, it was decided that the present college monogfam with the letters H.C.O,P.A. worked in abo.ve, and with the navy border eliminated, be adopted as the official badge. ' In view of the very poor response from association members in Wellington, it "was decided 4 that at present no sub-b'ranch J" would be formed there. fiMrs. D. D. Thomas was unanimously elected a life member of the association. The piatter concerning a mpmorial to the memory of the late Mr. W- D. Thomas,. the flrst principal of Horowhenua College, was discussed, and it was decided to call upon the old pupiis, together with the present college pupiis, to coh tribute towards this. cause,
