Herd Improvement The following are the group iverages for cows tested in this district during October by the Wel-lington-Hawke's Bay Herd Improvement Association : — Shannon - Foxton area group average: Herds 23, cows 1209, milk 799 lbs; test 4.35, fat 35 lbs. Highest herd: Cows 43, fat 57 lbs. Opiki-Tokomaru area group average: Herds 25, cows 1237, milk 726 lbs., test 4.61, fat 34 lbs. Highest herd: Cows 40, fat 44 lbs.
