INDUSTRIAL EXPANSION
Received Friday, 10.15 p.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 29. New industries to be started or likely to be started in Australia by British, American and Australian firms and the expansion of existing industries, will involve a capital expenditure of £22,000,000. Tliis was announced hy the Minister of Postwar Reconstruction, Mr. Dedman, who said the wide range of products would include electrical equipment, motor-car parts, rayon yarn, artificral silk and wool fahrics, footwear and clothing, engineering products, pharmaceutical goods, steam generating plants, stationary engines, electrical household appliances, medical supplies, dental equipment, carpets, razor hlades and motor fuel oil.
