Nord meyer 's majority on tlie preliminarv count to 174, tlie totals now being:— A. H. Nordmeyer (Labour) . 6384 T. R. Beatty (National) . .. (5210 G. P. Outtriss (Igd. Liberal) 51 Mr. Collier etated that tlie cheek of Ihe returns revealed a duplieation of votes from a small bootli, tliis involving 44 votes for Beatty and 22 for Nordmeyer. it is now ostimated that tlie absentee, postal and deelaration votes for the Oamaru electorate will .tot,al more than 1200.
