LARGE-SCALE WITHDRAWALS

RUSSIAN TROOPS IN GERMANY Reeeived Friday, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 28. A Russian source has confirmed reports of large-scale withdrawals of troops from the Russian zone of Germany, says Reuter's Berlin correspondent. A seiiior Soviet officer said: "Large contingents are moving oiit in the course of demobilisation." Travellers from the Russian zone said that the withdrawals began November 22. A hitherto reliable informant reported the movement of six divisions and four brigades, mainly from Thuringia and Saxony. The withdrawals seem to be principally of the infantry.
