REPATRIATION OF J-FORCE

With the J Force.) IWAKUX1, Xov. 22. . Early next week ten men of Xo. 14 Squadron of the h'.X.Z.A.E. will leave Uwakuni airlield to rturn to Xew Zealand, their replacements being expected to arrive within a few days. To mnrk the beginning of this repatriation programme after eight months' service in Japau, and to celebrate tlie linishing of severul important improvements ineludiug the covering of iive hangars, a ceremonial review of the squadron by Air Vice Marshal M. C. A. Boucher, officer comnnuiding the British Commonvvealth Occupation Air Eorces. l'ollowed by forination flying were held this afternoon. Except for oflicers and men who volunteered for a further tour of duty . in Japau. all the present personiiel will be replaced by ALarcli of next year. Already nearly 50 of about 550 men and lialf of ihe officei's have applied for further service in Japan. These men will also return to Xew Zealand by air for one month 's leave before returning to Ivvakuni.
